Stay Informed

Advisory Committees

SkillsEQuipped is establishing five Advisory Committees across the relevant subsectors to provide advice in relation to product and workforce development projects.

  1. Arts
  2. Personal Services
  3. Retail
  4. Tourism
  5. Hospitality


Technical committees will also be established as required, for specific tasks with clear terms of reference and time periods to provide technical advice on product development and testing.

Industry Stakeholder Forums

Five industry forums will support the Board:

  1. Industry Leadership Forum of C-suite executives
  2. Education Forum for all providers who deliver training products within our remit
  3. State Industry Advisory Forum
  4. Regional and Small Business Forum to represent the voice of small businesses from metro, regional, rural and remote Australia
  5. Student / Customer / Patron Forum from our industry sectors to provide feedback about how training and skills development works for them

Employee Member (Voting)

An Employee Member (Voting) must have industry specific expertise, and a demonstrated connection to the retail, personal services, hospitality, tourism or the arts sectors. This may include:

  • An organisation (large, medium or small) or individual that represents employees, such as unions or employee organisations in the retail, personal services, hospitality, tourism or the arts sectors.

A Voting Member means an organisation which meets the Member Eligibility Requirements in clause 3.4 and 3.6 of the SkillsEQuipped constitution.

Note: Employee Member (Voting) does not include: Government Agencies or Bodies, Registered Training Organisations, Group Training Organisations, Employment Services Providers or Australian Apprentice Services Network Providers.

Employer/Employee Member (Non-Voting)

An Employer/Employee Member (Non-Voting) must have industry specific expertise, and a demonstrated connection to the retail, personal services, hospitality, tourism or the arts sectors. This may include organisations or individuals that are not eligible to be an Employer Member (Voting) or Employee Member (Voting).

A Non-Voting Member means an organisation or person which meets the Member Eligibility Requirements in clause 3.5 and 3.6 of the SkillsEQuipped constitution.

Employer Member (Voting)

An Employer Member (Voting) must have industry specific expertise, and a demonstrated connection to the retail, personal services, hospitality, tourism or the arts sectors. This may include:

  • An organisation (large, medium or small) or individual that employs people in the retail, personal services, hospitality, tourism or the arts sectors.
  • A representative of employers, such as peak organisation or industry association, in the retail, personal services, hospitality, tourism or the arts sectors.

A Voting Member means an organisation which meets the Member Eligibility Requirements in clause 3.4 and 3.6 of the SkillsEQuipped constitution.

Note: Employer Member (Voting) does not include: Government Agencies or Bodies, Registered Training Organisations, Group Training Organisations, Employment Services Providers or Australian Apprentice Services Network Providers.
